The Sicilian architect, Sandro Giacomarra, skillfully designed Villa Talia on the mountainside to maximize the incredible sea views. The result is a sea view from almost every room and outside space. A large decked terrace made from restored African hardwood railway sleepers runs the length of the house. The cooling plunge pool or relaxing deckchairs provide plenty of opportunities to unwind while a shaded dining terrace by a grassy area off the kitchen is a lovely spot for lazy lunches or barbecues overlooking the sea.
A modern colour palette of greys and whites is peppered with splashes of summer colours in the fabrics and artworks around the villa, giving it a unique character and style. Guests can enjoy sea views from bed with floor to ceiling windows in both the master double bedroom and the twin bedroom. A contemporary open plan living area with large comfortable sofas, kitchen and dining area also has the floor to ceiling windows out to the decked terrace and those magnificent views.
The pool open from the 1 May, shops and restaurants is an easy drive or invigorating walk away in the coastal village of Sant Ambrogio, while the delights of the town of Cefalu are also a short drive from the villa.
