Property Description

Pisa’s Galileo Galilei Airport is the second main port of entry for visitors coming to Tuscany. This area is famous for the Leaning Tower, the glitzy beach establishments on the Versilia Coast, and the lovely town of Lajatico, birthplace of Andrea Bocelli and - among others less-known sites - his Teatro del Silenzio outdoor concert venue. Nestled in the amazing Tuscan countryside, the village of Chianni is one of the local jewels carefully built and preserved throughout the centuries - an ideal place to immerse yourself in nature. This town is surrounded by oak woods and cultivated hills – mostly vineyards and olive groves, which make for rich wines and excellent olive oil. Built on two floors, Izilda transports you to a magical atmosphere and transforms your holiday into a unique experience.

Location Information

Nearest Airport: Galileo Galilei Pisa 35 min Nearest serviced town: 10 min Nearest major city: Pisa 45 min Nearest point of interest: Volterra 45 min Driving time estimated by Google Maps Famous for the Leaning Tower, Pisa is a must-see once-in-a-lifetime destination for visitors to Italy. However, while exploring the Miracle Square is something that cannot be missed, the unique and picturesque villages set in the surrounding areas of Pisa are worth a visit. The most famous area to explore is the hills of Volterra, a medieval city embraced by rolling hills where you can admire Etruscan and Roman sites and learn the alabaster art from local craftsmen. Going just a bit further, reach San Gimignano and do not forget to pick up some wine on the way to enjoy at the villa. WHERE TO EAT Laqua vineyard – run by the Michelin-starred chef Cannavacciuolo… and that’s all we have to say! Via del Teatro, 8, 56030 Casanova Le vecchie cantine – rustic and cozy restaurant in the timeless hamlet of Chianni. Via Farini, 14, Chianni Antica Farmacia – maintaining its original name, today it’s not a pharmacy but a restaurant serving authentic Tuscan food. Via del Popolo, 51, Palaia Vino e Convivio – If you want wine by the glass accompanied by de-li-cious homemade food, do not be fooled by the look of this very rustic osteria. Extensive selection of wine and great simple dishes that change almost daily (they do not have a menu) that you do not want to miss. If available, order a glass of Ripasso Superiore della Valpolicella by Monte Dall’Ora (you are welcome!). Via Di Coselli 4/6, Guamo - +39 0584 989 069 WHERE TO SHOP Alcohol and spirits - Dolfi 1945 Spirito Toscano – Tuscany is not all about wine; for those who are connoisseurs of spirits, that’s the right place. Via di Gello, 167 - Ponsacco Chocolate - Angiolini – the maitre chocolatier Giovanni makes chocolate an art to be shared. Only for chocoholics! Piazza Martiri della Libertà, 14, Pontedera Pasta - Pasta Martelli – for those who are pasta lovers, the Martelli factory is heaven on earth. Via dei Pastifici, 3, Lari
